Professional and Personal Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a licensed practical nurse in the state in which practicing.
- Successful completion of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing and medication administration program with certification.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess a minimum of at least one (1) year experience as a licensed practical nurse, with a combination of acute care and/or public health preferable.
- Maintain good physical and mental health including current TB testing (refer to Health Screening Policy).
- Demonstrate integrity, good judgment, initiative, knowledge and analytical skills to be able to make scheduled patient care visits under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Possess interpersonal skills sufficient to gain acceptance by others, such as patients, caregivers, physicians, other professionals, alternative care specialists and community resources representatives in situations, which could have a critical impact on patient care goals and interventions.
