Successful completion of Home Health Aide training program and certification and/or possess a minimum of 6 months to one (1) year experience providing personal care services to patients in a hospital, nursing home and/or home health care setting.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Maintain good physical health and mental health including Tb testing (refer to Health Screening policy).
Possess interpersonal skills required to work with others.
Ability to explain patient care procedures, answer questions and calm patient fears, as well as be able to communicate information on patient condition to nursing and/or therapy staff.
Demonstrate integrity, good judgment, initiative, and analytical skills required to perform various tasks as assigned.
Must be able to follow directions accurately and in a timely manner.
