Professional and Personal Qualifications:
- Successful completion of Home Health Aide training program and certification and/or possess a minimum of 6 months to one (1) year experience providing personal care services to patients in a hospital, nursing home and/or home health care setting.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Maintain good physical health and mental health including Tb testing (refer to Health Screening policy).
- Possess interpersonal skills required to work with others.
- Ability to explain patient care procedures, answer questions and calm patient fears, as well as be able to communicate information on patient condition to nursing and/or therapy staff.
- Demonstrate integrity, good judgment, initiative, and analytical skills required to perform various tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to follow directions accurately and in a timely manner.
